Bart de Win & The Simple Life in Theatre Het Klooster
According to the newspaper Het Eindhovens Dagblad, Bart de Win's album ‘Easy to see' is "one of the best Dutch pop records of 2012”. The cd was also proclaimed "a crown jewel" in last months 'Oor' magazine. The wonderful reviews pile up one after the other.
Bart's songs cannot be confined to one genre. They are a pleasant collection of original compositions that examine the edges of rootsy pop music. On ‘Easy to see' Bart de Win explores the boundaries between folk, countryrock, jazz and blues. Bart's music is often compared to the music of Randy Newman, Dr. John, Ray Charles or Tom Waits. But most of all it's his natural originality that stands out.
On Sunday December 9 Bart presents, together with his band ‘The Simple Life', his new work and a couple of his 'golden oldies' in Theatre Het Klooster in Nuenen. The band consists of all previous Vaste Mannen (of Gerard van Maasakkers) as well as producer and snare virtuoso BJ Baartmans and the backing vocalists Birgit Wijdemans and Arianne Knegt.
