In the spring of 2011 JT Nero (Jeremy T. Lindsay) & Allison Russell toured The Netherlands to promote the album Mountains, forests. One of the tour dates would be a concert in our living room. The week before that we went to see them play in Roepaen, and after the concert Bart was asked to sit in on wurlitzer and accordeon for their Paradiso show a couple of days later. In Amsterdam (besides having a lot of fun) the musical cooperation seemed to work out great, and plans were made for future musical projects with Bart and the talented duo, called Birds of Chicago by now. This has resulted in various tours through the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the UK, and also in a couple of  studio recordings. In January 2012 Bart flew to Chicago to participate in the new, nameless,  Birds of Chicago debut album. Bart recorded his accordeon, piano & rhodes parts. In return JT and Allison sang on Bart's album 'Easy to see'. 

The Birds of Chicago toured through Europe regularly, and found a Dutch home with Bart & Arianne. Since 2021 Allison Russell has been focusing on a solo career, with Jeremy writing and producing for her. She has been very succesful and is currently playing the bigger venues. At the 2024 Grammys ceremony Allison won a Grammy in the category Best American Roots Performance for her song ‘Eve Was Black’.

The Vaste Kerstmannen originated from The Vaste Mannen, the longtime band of the singer-songwriter Gerard van Maasakkers, in whose band Bart played from 1996 till 2011, and again from 2022 till 2024. Some very well known and other less well known Christmas songs were arranged and recorded by the band in a new and tasteful way. With the album sales the band supported the food bank for the needy. In December 2010 the first concert took place. The original band consisted of Bart, Harry Hendriks, Arthur Lijten and the late Rinus Raaijmakers, with Arianne joining in for a song or two. After the first couple of years Sjoerd van Bommel replaced Arthur when he got a job drumming at the Christmas circus.

During the first years the main Eindhoven stage was Berlage, but since 2016 the Rozenknop became their Christmas home. Also, the concept changed a little, with Bart introducing several (national & international) guests, and a steady band with Martijn Soeterbroek andFrank Strokap, and Bart, Arianne, Harry and guests alternating lead vocals. What stayed exactly the same is this: Christmas with Bart de Win adds color and light to the dark days before Christmas. They bring you a fresh new Christmas sound. Always on the last Sunday afternoon before Christmas at de Rozenknop Eindhoven.

In 2009 the little girl Janske was diagnosed with leukemia. She, together with her parents and sisters, fought for her life. Bart wrote two songs for Janske and her family, a project that finally resulted in a beautiful childrens book with cd. All people involved (illustrator, designer, publisher, studio technician and musicians) donated their work for Janske. The project tries to raise money and attention for children like her. All proceeds will be donated to institutes for cancer research, medical help and to an organization of special clowns that can offer some distraction to these small patients. The concerts of the Konrad Koselleck Big Band are slightly different than you'd expect: it's an original combination of cabaret, musical, jazz, pop, rock, funk, latin and even classical music. Everything specially arranged for the occasion by Konrad Koselleck. Together with his seventeen talented musicians ànd the crème de la crème of national and international vocalists Konrad programs a wonderful night of music every other month in Het Bimhuis in Amsterdam. A night full of surprises, diverging from intimate sensitive songs to violent grandeur.

In December 2010 Bart and Greek vocalist Maria Markesini had the honor to be the special guests for a Konrad Koselleck Big Band concert. Konrad even arranged some of Bart's songs for big band. It was great fun!

In 2010 the album 'Wie' was made, commissioned by National Monument Kamp Vught, with contributions from a lot of artists.  Bart played on a couple of songs, including 'Barak 23', written by Ernst Jansz and Jimi Bellmartin. The song is about Moluccan refugees in the Netherlands in the 1950's, and how their temporary housing in Kamp Vught turned out to be rather permanent. Musician Jimi Bellmartin grew up there.
